Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI) Commitment
Lead Powerful Impact Ltd
Our Commitment
At Lead Powerful Impact Ltd, we believe that coaching has the potential to create positive change when it is delivered in ways that are just, equitable, inclusive, and respectful of the diversity of human experience.
As a founder-led coaching business, Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) are integral to how we operate, how we serve clients, and how we contribute to the communities in which we work. We are committed to conducting our business in a manner that promotes fairness, respects individual dignity, reduces barriers to participation where reasonably practicable, and creates an environment where every client, collaborator, and stakeholder is treated with respect.
This commitment applies across our business operations, our coaching services, our relationships with clients and partners, and our engagement with the wider community.
Our Business and Stakeholders
Lead Powerful Impact Ltd provides professional coaching and leadership development services to individuals, teams and organisations.
Our work influences the experiences of clients, sponsors, collaborators, suppliers and professional partners. We recognise that people come to coaching with different identities, lived experiences, values, beliefs, abilities and circumstances, and that these differences shape how they experience leadership, work and personal development.
We also recognise that some individuals and groups may experience systemic barriers or have less influence within organisations or society. We are committed to approaching every coaching relationship with curiosity, respect and an awareness of these different experiences.
What JEDI Means at Lead Powerful Impact
For our business:
Justice means striving to identify and reduce unnecessary barriers that may prevent people from accessing our services or fully participating in coaching relationships.
Equity means recognising that different people may require different approaches, accommodations or support to participate fully, and seeking to provide fair opportunities and experiences wherever reasonably practicable.
Diversity means valuing the richness of different identities, perspectives, backgrounds, cultures, abilities and lived experiences, recognising that these contribute to stronger learning, better decision-making and more effective leadership.
Inclusion means creating coaching relationships in which people feel respected, heard, psychologically safe and able to participate authentically without fear of judgement or discrimination.
Our Coaching Practice
As an ICF-certified coach, our coaching practice is guided by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Code of Ethics and Core Competencies (2025).
This means we are committed to:
-
treating every client with dignity, fairness and respect;
-
seeking to understand each client's identity, context, values, beliefs and lived experience without judgement;
-
using language that is respectful, inclusive and appropriate to each client;
-
maintaining awareness of our own assumptions and biases and reflecting on how these may influence our work;
-
fostering coaching partnerships based on equality, trust, autonomy and psychological safety;
-
continually developing our professional knowledge and practice to better support diverse clients and contexts.
These commitments inform how we market our services, communicate with prospective clients and sponsors, deliver coaching engagements, and build professional relationships.
Business Practices
As a founder-led business with no employees, our current JEDI commitments focus on the areas where we have the greatest influence today.
We aim to:
-
conduct business without discrimination or harassment;
-
work respectfully and fairly with contractors, suppliers and collaborators;
-
consider accessibility and inclusion in our communications, services and business practices where reasonably practicable;
-
make decisions that are consistent with our values and our commitment to ethical and equitable practice.
Should the company employ staff in the future, these principles will guide our recruitment, employment, professional development and workplace practices.
Accountability
Lead Powerful Impact Ltd is currently operated solely by its founder and director, Mehalah Beckett, who serves as the highest governing authority for the company.
The founder is responsible for:
-
overseeing this JEDI commitment;
-
ensuring it is reflected in the company's operations, coaching practice and business decisions;
-
reviewing this commitment periodically to ensure it remains appropriate and effective;
-
updating policies and practices as the business grows and stakeholder needs evolve.
We recognise that meaningful inclusion is an ongoing process of learning, listening and continuous improvement. We are committed to reviewing our practices, responding to feedback, and strengthening our approach over time in alignment with our values, professional coaching standards and the expectations of the B Corp community.
