How do you rate yourself against these five self-leadership traits?
March ‘22 marks Lead Powerful Impact’s 2nd birthday!
I celebrated our first birthday with Don't underestimate what you can BE in a year - recommended reading to celebrate your last year and establish who you want to be one year from now.
One year on I’ve set out the five self-leadership traits which have supported me grow sustainably.
Which of the five would you rate yourself highly in, and which need improving to lead the change you want to see in the world?
I eat my own dog food - I lead by example making sure who I'm being and what I'm doing is in alignment with the type of Leader I want to be, have, and support my clients to be. I’ll never be perfect but what a motivating force to BE BETTER every day.
I set boundaries - who I work with, when, how & where I work, and what I say no to - are vital ingredients in making what I say HELL YES to all the more powerful. A WIP but the results speak for themselves.
I have a vision - I’m clear on my North Star - how my life and the life of others will be, when everything is aligned - and I use this as a simple framework for decision making - will x move me closer or further away from that? Goodbye procrastinating over decisions, hello forward momentum!
I work smart, not hard - I am clearer on my zone of genius and spend as much time there as possible, getting better at delegating, ditching or diminishing what's not the most valuable use of my time. I want to amplify my impact, not waste time sweating the small stuff that won’t move the needle.
I ask for help and get support - no more struggling on my own - I have a carefully selected group of trusted advisors, coaches, and business mentors on hand as a sounding board, challenge function and advising on the way forward. My potential is now limitless as I’m no longer the bottleneck!
