What impact can one tiny business really have?

42 leaders coached.
28 businesses supported on their B Corp journeys.
35 female founders supported to grow their businesses sustainably.
122 hours donated to causes we care about.
150+ people brought together for Scotland’s first B Corp & Beyond festival.
And our measured carbon emissions down another 19%.
Not bad for a tiny business.
August marks another year as a certified B Corp for Lead Powerful Impact, which means it’s time to publish our annual Impact Report and ask ourselves a fairly important question:
Are we actually having the impact we say we want to have?
Because it’s easy to talk about being purpose-driven, to say you care about people and planet, and make ambitious commitments about what you’re going to do next.
The harder bit is coming back a year later and showing what you actually did.
So, what did we actually do?
This year we coached 42 leaders who are creating positive change through their organisations and supported 28 businesses to measure and improve their social and environmental impact through B Corp Consulting and sustainable business programmes.
We coached 35 female founders to grow their businesses sustainably, looking after themselves, their teams and the planet as they scale.
We launched our first Impact MasterMind, bringing together 10 purpose-driven business owners from across the UK, Europe and Africa to support one another as they grow.
And alongside Muckle Media and the brilliant B Local Scotland community, we brought more than 150 people together for Scotland’s first B Corp & Beyond festival, with 20+ speakers, workshops and events, followed by a reception at the Scottish Parliament.
Some of the things I’m proudest of this year aren’t particularly easy to measure.
They’re the conversations, introductions and collaborations that happen because you bring good people together.
The leader who goes back into their organisation thinking differently, the founder who makes a better decision for their people and the business that starts looking more seriously at its impact.
The ripple effect is impossible to count, but I know it’s there.
Our impact on a page
If you prefer the numbers, here they are:

And behind every one of those numbers is a person, business or community we’ve had the privilege of supporting.
And now for the gory details...
One of the things I value most about B Corp is that it doesn’t ask businesses to pretend they’re perfect. We’re definitely not.
Every year, our Impact Report sets out what we said we’d do, what we actually did and what we’re going to do next.
And not everything on last year’s list got a satisfying tick beside it.
We planned to publish a Climate Action Plan, for example. We didn’t. With the introduction of B Lab’s new standards, we decided to reassess it against the new Climate Action requirements and will publish it in the coming months.
There are plenty of other things we can do better too.
Our recertification under the new B Corp standards is due in 2027 and the bar has been raised significantly.
This is good. It means looking harder at our governance, climate action, human rights, stakeholder engagement and the potential negative impacts of the work we choose to take on.
Because impact isn’t just about counting the good stuff, it’s also about being willing to look at where you could be better.
Tiny business. Limitless impact.
Lead Powerful Impact is still a micro-business, but I’ve never believed impact is measured by the number of people on your payroll or the size of your turnover.
It’s the leaders you support, the businesses you influence, the communities you strengthen and what happens next because of the work you’ve done.
That’s also why I love the B Corp movement.
None of this happens alone - it happens through clients, partners, collaborators and communities of people who believe business can and should be a force for good.
So thank you to everyone who has coached with us, consulted with us, spoken alongside us, collaborated with us, challenged us, recommended us, trusted us or simply cheered us on this year.
You’re part of this impact too.
And if you want all the numbers, commitments, things we achieved, things we didn’t quite get done and what we’ve promised to tackle next, you can read our full 2026 Impact Report here.
The gory details are all yours.
Want to create more impact too?
